NewsThe last few months have been busy for everyone at Scott Physiotherapy. Isla has entered the research phase of her MSc having completed seemingly endless essays for the last 2 years. As with last year motorsport featured highly in 2010, working at the World Superbikes in addition to the time given freely for the TT competitors during practice and race week. Isla has developed a strong reputation in this field and regularly works with some of the world’s best motorcycle riders. Cath has been a fantastic addition to the clinic and has brought a wealth of skills, enthusiasm and fresh ideas to the Scott Physiotherapy team. She continues to offer tremendous flexibility for clients with evening and daytime clinics in Douglas and Peel. Cath has now joined Isla in being fully trained in Kinesio-taping techniques; now used extensively in all areas of musculo-skeletal medicine. Isla travels to Delhi in October 2010 for the Commonwealth Games. This will be her 3rd Commonwealth Games, alongside the Athens Olympics and Commonwealth Youth Games in India in 2008. The team at Scott Physiotherapy continue to have lower limb surgeons Mr Robert Harvey FRCS and Martyn Porter FRCS coming over to the Island on a regular basis to conduct clinics at our premises; Mr Harvey in Douglas and Mr Porter in Peel. This saves patients the expense and inconvenience of travelling to North West England for a consultation. Scott Physiotherapy continues to support David Knight, Andrew Pitt, Steve Colley, Alex Hedges and Dave Molyneux with sponsorship. The clinic remains firm in its support of Western Athletic Club by sponsoring the Dave Phillips road race series for another year. For more information regarding Isla’s MSc.
