Isla Scott MCSP (Sports Phys.)

Isla qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist is 1992 from Bath School of Physiotherapy and has nearly 3 decades of experience in musculoskeletal medicine. She graduated from the prestigious Bath University with a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2011 and holds post graduate qualifications in Sports Massage, Myofascial Manipulation and Movement Rehabilitation (JEMS Movement Systems Accreditation).

Isla has world class experience across a multitude of sports including World Superbikes, Moto GP (Clinica Mobile), the Athens Olympics (Sports Massage Team Leader), multiple Commonwealth Games as National Team Lead Physiotherapist, World Cup Cycling (GB), World Cup Rugby (Bermuda RUFC) and World Tae-Kwondo (Mexico).

Isla has developed elite level clinical expertise in motorsport over the last 15 years and learned a great deal working with the Italians in Clinica Mobile doing the UK rounds at World Superbikes for several years.  Isla has been the Lead Physiotherapist for the Isle of Man TT Races since 2007.  She works with world class motorsport athletes regularly and has athletes travelling to the Isle of Man to see her.  She is known for loving the challenge of highly technical and demanding issues, requiring something a bit special.

Isla’s other special interest is movement rehabilitation and she loves improving overall function and movement quality in all age groups and abilities from childhood to the more mature adult. Isla’s skills and specialist knowledge make her an ideal choice for getting to the root cause of injury.  She can help to enhance skills and performance in athletes, aesthetics in performing artists or general life skills for everyday living. She is proud to have completed the JEMS Certification in movement rehabilitation in 2019: a demanding course that has already shown to be beneficial to many of her current patients.

Scott Physiotherapy Ltd opened in 2005 and provides bespoke, evidence-informed assessment and treatment of acute and chronic pain and injury issues in patients of all ages and abilities in a professional and discrete setting. The clinic has an extremely diverse client base from the age of 9 to 90 and you certainly don’t have to be an athlete to attend.

Treatment programmes are specifically designed to meet individual needs and you are guaranteed that you will be listened to, assessed thoroughly and given an outstanding level of treatment.

Experience gained at elite level does not mean that Isla only treats sporting individuals, it just highlights the scope of her expertise. The cutting-edge techniques and skills learned in the demanding area of professional sport are available to benefit of all patients: you don’t have to be world class to have world class treatment!
